Vox Vera®’s Coaches are trusted partners in high-stakes rooms — courtrooms, boardrooms, executive teams, and public forums — where language must land and presence must hold.
Each Coach is a substantive expert in voice, text, performance, and embodied communication, with conservatory-level training and serious professional performing credentials. Each is selected for three things: mastery of the craft, excellence as a teacher, and the ability to demonstrate the work in real time.
These credentials are just the starting point. We only partner with coaches who share a common ethos and training: rigorous craft, deep respect for the client, dedication to continued performance training, and a commitment to bringing each professional to their most effective human presence.
Every Vox Vera Coach is a certified Patsy Rodenburg Associate, having completed hundreds of hours of training with — and having earned a rare teaching certification from — master voice and Shakespeare teacher Patsy Rodenburg OBE. It is a condition of coaching with us, not a distinction among our coaches.
Our Coaches support lawyers, executives, physicians, founders, performers, and public leaders in trial preparation, board presentations, keynote speaking, investor pitches, and other high-stakes communication environments.
For specific needs, we also partner with a small number of specialist faculty who share our standard: former federal prosecutors, conflict resolution experts, movement coaches, and leading practitioners of applied improvisation. Each faculty member is engaged for a defined purpose, teaches within the Vox Vera structure, and must meet the same standard of technical mastery, real-world experience, and teaching excellence. They are masters of their craft who possess the ability to demonstrate and teach it at the highest levels, not merely describe it.

Dylan Diehl
Los Angeles
Dylan Diehl is a Los Angeles-based Vox Vera Coach, actor, and educator. She works with lawyers, performers, executives, and public figures to hone their craft and prepare for consequential public moments, helping them connect to their own language and the stories they tell. Speech that reaches an audience requires vulnerability and skill, and her coaching is rigorous, intuitive, and compassionate.
Dylan has guest lectured at Stanford Law School and led workshops at universities and theaters nationwide. As founder of Flourish LLC, she has taught and mentored hundreds of students around the world, many of whom have gone on to the nation's top universities, law schools, and medical schools. For Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, she designed and directed programs introducing young audiences to Shakespeare.
A cum laude graduate of Columbia University, Dylan studied with Shakespeare scholar James Shapiro and First Amendment scholar and former Columbia president Lee Bollinger. She trained for more than a decade with acting teacher Larry Moss, as well as at the Neighborhood Playhouse and the William Esper Studio. She was among the first educators selected and trained by master voice teacher Patsy Rodenburg OBE to teach her work and is a certified Patsy Rodenburg Associate.
Dylan is executive director of New York's Ensemble Shakespeare Company, where her approach to Shakespeare focuses on clarity and immediacy. Her roles include Portia in The Merchant of Venice, Viola in Twelfth Night, and a guest role on Law & Order: SVU.
Erin Roth
New York
Erin Roth is a New York-based Vox Vera Coach, focusing on public speaking, presence, voice and speech, and leadership communication. A summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Barnard College, she works with professionals who speak in high-stakes settings, helping them build credibility, engage a room, and land language with precision and humanity in scripted and unscripted interactions.
Recent clients include accomplished professionals in healthcare, law, theatre, and politics, with coaching and teaching engagements at Quinnipiac University School of Law, Mount Sinai Health System, and the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.
Erin was trained and certified by master voice and Shakespeare teacher Patsy Rodenburg OBE. She studied improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade and The PIT, where she performed for two years with a house team, and holds a master's degree in drama therapy from New York University.
In addition to her coaching work, Erin is founder and Artistic Director of the Ensemble Shakespeare Company. In two years, she established the company as a nonprofit, formed its board, built its funding base, taught more than 200 students, and produced five shows, including an award-winning A Midsummer Night's Dream. Her Shakespeare roles include Lady Macbeth, Titania, and the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet. She writes on Shakespeare and performance for Backstage Experts.
Rob Hatzenbeller
New York
Rob Hatzenbeller is a New York-based Vox Vera Coach and classically trained actor. His work is rooted in the belief that listeners want authenticity and connection, and that the most compelling speakers are fully present in the room.
Rob works with lawyers, medical professionals, teachers, public speakers, actors, creatives, and students, helping them rediscover their presence and engage with audiences, build breath support, sustain their voices over long durations, improve placement, expand vocal variety, and deepen their connection to language.
Rob has worked behind the scenes for Accenture, Stone Communications, and Hat Trick Communications, helping clients in technology, biotech, healthcare, and finance create high-stakes presentations that deliver complex content clearly and compellingly.
Rob holds an MFA from the Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy at George Washington University and is a certified Patsy Rodenburg Associate. At Chicago's Goodman Theatre, he originated the role of Lenny in the world premiere of Kander and Ebb's The Visit, starring Chita Rivera and directed by Frank Galati. He is a company member of New York's Ensemble Shakespeare Company and has performed with Shakespeare Theatre Company, Marin Theatre Company, The Magic Theatre, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, 42nd Street Moon, and Soho Shakespeare Company.
