How We Work

We work with leaders in moments where the room is watching — where how you show up actually changes what happens next.

Most people who come to Vox Vera® recognize mass-produced public speaking and executive presence advice when they hear it. Project confidence. Avoid filler words. Stand up straight. Control your gestures. Smile. Own the room.

For most high-performers, that is where things start to go wrong.

Trying to command the room or control your movement pulls attention away from authentic listening, responsiveness, and real contact with the audience. People brace, perform, and get in their heads. They work harder than they need to — and the room feels it.

What’s typically missing with high-performers isn’t better content or more checklists. It’s the physical training that allows their communication to adapt and hold under pressure: how to breathe so your voice carries in any space without pushing, how to ground yourself without tightening, how to use words, silence, and movement to carry meaning, and how to stay available enough to respond intelligently and credibly when situations get charged.

Most people were never taught this, and that’s where our work begins.

Signature Engagements

Performance skills training develops the physical craft underneath confident human communication — how breath, body, and voice work together so language and leadership are heard and felt clearly.

We build durable capacity that applies across everyday professional interactions — team meetings, client calls, interviews, motion practice, and leadership development — as well as high-stakes moments such as trials, negotiations, and public appearances. The engagements below reflect the settings in which that underlying work most often comes into focus.

Litigation Readiness

When trial is approaching and connection matters as much as argument.

We work with litigators in depositions, mock trial, witness preparation, voir dire, oral argument, and trial itself, focusing on breath, grounding, language, and responsiveness so advocates remain readable under pressure and juries and judges can actually hear what’s being said.

Team Alignment & Conflict Resolution

When the way people communicate with each other is getting in the way.

We work with teams in the room — not in theory — to develop shared habits of listening, presence, and collaboration, so connection holds when things get tense, fast, or complex.

High-Stakes Negotiations

When the deal hinges on listening and presence.

We work with dealmakers, sales teams, and business executives to navigate conflict, listen deeply, and read the room so they can guide the rhythm of a negotiation  or mediation from before the first offer through close.

High-Stakes Presentations

When the moment won’t slow down for you.

Board meetings, keynotes, pitches, negotiations, media appearances, and town halls — we work with executives, politicians, and attorneys to stay available, listen in real time, use their voice and presence to connect, and adjust on their feet so the message holds even as the room shifts. This is public speaking and presentation training built for rooms that push back.

Leadership Transition

When a role changes and the room begins to read you differently.

We work with new law firm partners, senior executives, politicians, and leaders stepping into larger arenas to help their leadership presence and language catch up with the responsibility they’re carrying, so authority doesn’t feel forced or overplayed.

How We Engage

Our work takes a few consistent forms, depending on the stakes and the setting.

Individual Coaching
Focused one-on-one work preparing for a specific moment — an opening or closing statement, a town hall, board presentation, keynote, negotiation, commencement address, appellate argument, or media appearance. This work is practical, embodied, and anchored in real-world pressure.

Group Training & Professional Development
Interactive workshops, retreats, and keynotes for law firms, leadership teams, and organizations that want shared language and standards around presence, communication skills, and performance under pressure. These engagements are designed to translate immediately into daily practice and institutional culture.

Consulting (Trial & Project-Based)
We work alongside trial teams, leadership groups, and deal teams over the life of a matter or initiative. This consulting often includes preparation, live observation, and targeted intervention as the work unfolds — particularly in high-stakes litigation, negotiation, and leadership moments.

We’ll help you find the right place to begin.

Who Is Vox Vera For?

We work with smart, accomplished professionals who sense that something about their delivery isn’t landing — and suspect that more tips aren’t the answer.

If you’re looking for surface fixes or performative polish, we’re probably not the right fit. If you’re ready to work with the fundamentals you were never taught — the ones that persuade and hold under pressure — we should talk.

We help you sound like you.
