OUR WORK

Performing Artists

At Vox Vera, we take the craft of honest performance and connection seriously.

We've studied theatre, movement, improvisation, and voice at the highest levels, and have plied our craft working in the world's greatest opera houses, concert halls, acting studios, and theatre spaces. When we coach actors, directors, musicians, dancers, and ensembles, we know their pressures, speak their language, and know how to create immediate transformation through clear and meaningful notes and adjustments.

Our innovative, cross-disciplinary work with performing artists has been inspired by several great teachers, movement techniques, and performance theories, including Patsy Rodenburg, Alexander Technique, classical voice and bel canto singing, The Viewpoints, Michael Chekhov, Sanford Meisner, Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, jazz theory and improvisation, Keith Johnstone, pilates, and Viola Spolin. In addition, Founder/CEO Paul Marchegiani is one of only a few dozen certified Patsy Rodenburg Associates in the United States, and has studied Alexander Technique, acting, and voice with some of the leading teachers in the world.

Our work is particularly effective at helping performing artists develop presence, power, gravitas, and sustained, authentic emotional connection through their words, voice, breath, and physicality in a space.

Our expertise in the performing arts allows us to coach and lead sessions on:

  • Presence and Gravitas

  • Patsy Rodenburg Technique

  • Physical & Vocal Warm-Ups

  • Director, Conductor, and Performer Presence Training

  • Embodied Text Work

  • Shakespeare & Poetry

  • Sondheim and Other Musical Theatre Coaching

  • Ensemble & Team Building for Musicians, Performers, Cast & Crew, and Songwriters
